Elon Musk has been teasing us with a new Roadster for a while now, with the website reporting an electric car capable of reaching 60mph in 1.9 seconds! Which would be a world record for a road-legal vehicle!
The ambitious nature of Tesla always tends to mean that every new car they come up with creates for much hype and puts a lot of pressure on the company to deliver. However Mr Musk seems confident that he can pull this off with the new Roadster. Promising specs of 100mph in 4.2 seconds, an eye-watering 620 miles on a single charge and a top speed of … hmm, they don’t know, but they’re saying it’s over 250mph!
Musk has a track record of setting some wild ambitions, however unlike most he actually achieves them. Your average petrol-head would say its impossible for an electric vehicle to beat good old fashioned fossil fuels, however Tesla seems to be on the verge of ripping those beliefs up into tiny shreds.
Only time will tell to see what the specs of the final model will be when the updated Roadster is finally released to the public, but whatever it is, it’s almost certainly going to break some records.
